Veganism

Veganism is regarded by most people as a lifestyle based on respect towards life and the needs of all animals, as well as towards the environment and one’s health. The vegan diet excludes the consumption of any products or even by-products from both dead and living animals, which is the detail that makes the crucial difference between veganism and vegetarianism. Another basic principle of the vegan lifestyle is that animals shall not be used in any way in the testing of products, or as means of entertainment or profit.

Vegans usually prefer natural and organic food as well as any other plant-based or synthetic products which contain no animal ingredients and are environment friendly. Such products have been emerging on the world market for several years now, and thus it is far easeir and convenient to utilize this lifestyle than it used to be before.

Also, the choice to become vegan usually goes hand in hand with a wish to minimaze one’s personal contribution to those problems, which the consumption of animal products is naturaly connected with. These can be sorted out into three basic categories: ethical issues concerned with animals’ life and their needs; enivironmental problems such as pollution caused by animal farming; and health since there have been more and more proves about the benefits of plant-based diet.
